I have a modem with wifi at home but my phone cant seems to surf internet tho its connected to the wifi, why?

My brother is using an android phone and I'm using an iphone now, both our phones can go online when we connect to the public wifi like mcD's wifi etc, but when we tried connect it with our own house wifi, it cant seems to surf the internet. altho it shows connected to xxx on the phone, but we still failed connecting the internet. The phone's repairman says its the modem that's having some problems, according to him, we must change some settings of the modem. Does anyone knows what setting is that? or is there any other solution for this?

My two friends have split up - driving me insane!?

It's a same sex relationship they are both 18. Things moved insanely fast & they moved in together after just being together for under a year. They both became so wrapped in one another & did not socialise beyond one another. They split up because there was to many arguments & they were loosing out on their teenage years - this was the choice of one of my friends who insists she will not be getting back together with her ex that they need to move on & she's happy that way yet she still she's her ex everyday, it's as if they are still together & it gives my other friend mixed messages because she is clinging onto the hope if then reuniting as a couple & only bothers about her ex only makes the effort to see her & does not bother about her friends. What do I do? I know it's not about me but it's becoming unbearable she constantly posts blogs about how shes changed that she's sorting everything out yet when I talk to her ex she goes on & on how they will not get back together?

Why is my air conditioning not cooling?

The air conditioning stopped working all of a sudden. It was on cool and auto. It was set on 70 degrees. The temperature in the house is 80 degrees. I tried turning it down to 65 but it still will not cool. The air is coming out the vent but just not coming out as cool as it should. What can I do to fix this without calling a repairman and paying an arm and a leg?

i took her to the vet today and they gave me a medicine called terramycin to put on her eyes. so i came home and tried to put it on her. It got all messy and now she has a wet spot in the middle of her eyes ...the furry part. is this normal? if not, how do you put it on a hamster? Plz help!!!!!

Pay women to have babies if they can't have a legal abortion...fair?

If a person is drafted into the army, the government has to pay that person. The state drafts people into military service because the state deems that service essential to the state. If a state forces a woman to go full term against her wishes it must be because the state has decided that her pregnancy is essential to the state in some way. The 13th amendment is very clear on this....no involuntary servitude is allowed. After the birth, because the product of that birth was a result of the state's action, some significant compensation should go to the mother who, given her druthers would never have gone full term except for the intervention of the state. Some say the state is intervening in a homicide so according to some abortion is 'murder' so a law must be passed to prevent this murder. Yet no state will write an anti abortion law that will charge the woman who has an 'illegal' abortion for murder for hire. If it's not murder, what is it? If it is murder and the woman has hired someone to commit the murder it stands to reason...she should be charged. How tricky would that be? So, if the state insists on involuntary full term pregnancies...pay the lady! Or, call it murder and put her on trial. I say leave her alone to make her own decision...or pay her, or call it a homicide. Thoughtful answers that address the question would be nice.

My computer always freezes?

Since a couple months ago, my computer has started to freeze more and more often (every 20 minutes or an hour). The mouse just stops moving, and i need to turn it off by holding down the power button, which i know is bad for the computer. This seems to happen a lot more often when im on the internet, but i do virus scans really often, and my computer always comes up clean (Microsoft Security Essentials). Do you guys have any advice as to how i can fix this? I can't send it to a repairman because im on vacation right now. Its a Gateway FX 6831.
