Just thought about it: Would this still be vegan?

I was just having a fun thought in my head. Say a vegan lives on a farm and has many rescued farm animals (kind of like a farm sanctuary). Sheep, goats, cows, pigs, etc. Well, obviously the furry animals would need a trim every so often. Would it still be considered vegan if you take the fur/hair over the course of a year or whatevs and make a nice blanket and give it to a shelter or homeless person?
