Son has a rash......Please help!!?

Ok, we needed to have some work done on our kitchen and left the home for 3 days so they could jack-hammer my floor to get to the pipe. We were home for 2 1/2 days before the painters showed up to paint my kitchen. Within a few minutes of their arrival, my 2 1/2 year old started getting a couple spots on his face. At first they looked like a mosquito bite. Small and red with a white bump in the middle. Not like a blister at all. They disappeared in less than an hour. But then little patches would show up. On his legs or arms and still little spots on his face. Same as before, they would disappear in less than an hour. They are a bit itchy, but nothing that he is really digging at. He has no fever or any other symptoms. His doctor cannot see him until tomorrow afternoon and I think it's driving me more crazy than it is him! Can he be having a reaction to the paint or the fumes from it? Since we had been home for a few days, we didn't think it was anything caused by the repairmen but we aren't sure. What can I do for him to help him, before we have a chance to get him to the doctor? Please help.......
